PTC Antenna Array Kit for Modern Locomotives Assembled Dimensions: Large Cabinet: .430" L x .786" W x .099" H. Small Cabinet: .375" L x .786" W x .099" H. From https://www.aar.org/policy/positive-train-control "From the outset, the 2015 deadline proved arbitrary and unworkable, and was compounded by technical and legal complexities. Railroads advised Congress for years that they would not be able to meet the deadline. As the deadline approached, railroads and freight rail customers made it clear that there would be serious consequences for the nation if the deadline was not extended." "In response, Congress passed H.R.38 19 - Surface Transportation Extension Act of 2015, which provides a three-year extension to 2018 for the installation of PTC. The new law also allows up to two additional years to finalize full implementation and testing of PTC provided the railroads meet specific benchmarks. Railroads will regularly report to the US Department of Transporation on their progress." This HO Scale Positive Train Control (PTC) Antenna Array kit is a great addition to your Union Pacific, and other railroads', brand new locomotives as well as those dating back to the mid-1990's roaming the rails today. If you model the post-2008 era, this kit is perfect for your locomotive fleet, you wouldn't want your model locomotives to be out of compliance come 2018 would you? Kit includes 1 large and 1 small plastic cabinet, 3 large plastic Sinclair antennas, 3 small etched metal Sinclair antennas, 4 brass antenna domes, and 2 small brass "firecracker" style antennas. Plastic components are injection molded in gray. This is NOT a 3D Printed Kit. ASSEMBLY REQUIRED! Assembly of this kit requires "moderate skill level".
