November 2014 Newsletter

LOADS BY MOTRAK MODELS

Beginning immediately we will be distributing the Motrak Models loads for all InterMountain and Red Caboose open hopper cars and gondolas in both HO and N scales. We will have a shortened reservation period for the items announced this month, and expect to be able to ship them in January or February. Place your reservations early so that we can get this program moving soon!

The Motrak Models loads are exquisite, highly detailed, and affordable. These realistic looking loads have been custom molded to fit our models. Several types of loads are available for each model, if appropriate , but if you know of a different type of load that we haven’t announced please let us know and we will work with Motrak to make it available.

VALUE LINE COAL GONDOLAS IN HO AND N SCALES

This month we are announcing the second release in our Value Line, the Trinity AluminatorĀ® Coal Condolas. Thirteen numbers will be available for each release, a single car and two six packs. All models will be equipped with operating couplers and InterMountain metal wheelsets.

Be sure to place your orders this month for the CoalportersĀ® that were announced in October. The initial reservation period closes on November 30.

SD40-2 LOCOMOTIVES IN HO AND N SCALES

This month’s Advance Reservation items include ten all-new paint schemes for the SD40-2. Each of the eight prototype schemes will be done in four road numbers except for the Fort Worth & Western. They only had three of these locomotives and we will offer all three prototypical numbers. Two of the schemes are being offered in our “Famous Image Collector Series” and will be done in two road numbers.

The SD40-2’s are detail specific by road name and are very finely detailed. Many of the SD40-2 paint schemes are extremely colorful and many modelers will want them on their model railroad even if they don’t otherwise fit. Some things look just too good to pass up!

SHOW SEASON IS IN FULL SWING!

We are well into the beginning of show season and there will be dozens of local shows around the country every week for the next few months. The InterMountain crew just got back from Trainfest in Milwaukee where an estimated 20,000+ model railroad fans visited the many vendors and manufacturers exhibiting. Be sure to attend your favorite show(s) and invite a friend to accompany you. Model railroad shows are a wonderful opportunity to acquaint potential newcomers to this wonderful hobby.
